Zoom Integration Documentation for Users

Overview

This document provides instructions to connect and use your Zoom account with the Path app.

For general documentation on the Path system, visit https://help.pathhq.com.

Prerequisites

  • A Zoom account
  • An account at Path - this will be specific to your institution

Connect Your Zoom Account

The first time you use the integration, for example by creating a meeting, you will be prompted to connect your Zoom account.

However, you can also connect (and disconnect) your Zoom account at any time from your Account Settings by clicking the Connect button. You will be asked to Authorize Path to access your account, so that we can create meetings on your behalf.

Using the Integration

Creating Meeting for an Event

Make an event a Zoom meeting with one click.

When you're creating an event, click the Make it a Zoom Meeting button.

It will automatically insert the meeting details into the description, and the join URL into the Event URL field.

You can also easily join the meeting right away by clicking the Join Zoom Meeting button.

Creating Meeting when Posting to a Group

You can create a Zoom meeting instantly when posting to a group.

When composing a post, click the Zoom button.

It will automatically insert the meeting details into the post body after any text you've already typed.

Creating Meeting when Messaging

You can start a Zoom meeting from messages.

From any conversation, click the Zoom button.

It will automatically insert the meeting details into the text field after any text you've already typed.

Disconnecting your Zoom account

You can disconnect your Zoom account by navigating to Account Settings and choosing "Disconnect" next to Zoom

This will not uninstall the Path app from your Zoom account. To do that, see "Uninstalling the Zoom App" below.

Uninstalling the Zoom App

Login to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace.

Search for the Path Zoom app or navigate to your authorized apps via Manage Apps and choose the Path Zoom app.

Choose the Manage tab and click Uninstall.

Confirm the dialogue and click OK.
